If you own a Chromecast with Google TV or the newer Google TV Streamer, you can run the KrushTV app directly on your TV with no casting from your phone. The whole setup takes about 10 minutes, and once it is done you get 10,000+ live channels, 70,000+ movies and series, and a built-in Sports Guide, all controlled with your regular Google TV remote.
This guide walks you through every step: turning on Developer options, installing Downloader, allowing it to install apps, entering the KrushTV code 6826306, and logging in. We also cover storage tips, remote tricks and a short FAQ.
Get your login before you start
You will need a KrushTV username and password at the last step. Grab a free 3-day trial with no credit card on WhatsApp (+1 949-594-8817) or through the chat on our site, and your login will be ready by the time the app is installed.
Which Google Devices Can Run KrushTV?
Not every Chromecast is the same. The older dongles only receive casts from a phone, while Google TV devices have their own home screen and Play Store, which is what you need to install apps.
| Device | Built-in storage | Can install KrushTV app? |
|---|---|---|
| Google TV Streamer | About 32 GB | Yes, follow this guide |
| Chromecast with Google TV (4K) | About 8 GB | Yes, follow this guide |
| Chromecast with Google TV (HD) | About 8 GB | Yes, follow this guide |
| Smart TVs running Google TV or Android TV | Varies by model | Yes, menu names may differ slightly |
| Older Chromecast (cast-only, no remote) | None for apps | No |
If your TV runs another system, check our setup guides for Firestick, Apple TV, Smart TVs and PCs.
Step 1: Enable Developer Options
Google hides some advanced settings by default. Unlocking them takes a few clicks:
- From the Google TV home screen, select your profile icon in the top right, then Settings.
- Go to System, then About.
- Scroll down to Android TV OS build.
- Click the center button on your remote on that line 7 times in a row.
- You will see a message saying "You are now a developer." Press Back to return to Settings.
If you get a PIN prompt, enter the PIN you use for your Google TV profile.
Step 2: Install Downloader from the Play Store
- Return to the home screen and open Search (or hold the Google Assistant button and say "Downloader").
- Pick Downloader by AFTVnews, the orange app icon.
- Select Install and wait a few seconds.
Downloader is a free, simple app that fetches files by short code. It is the same tool Firestick owners use, so if you have set up KrushTV before using our Firestick install guide, this will feel familiar.
Step 3: Allow Downloader to Install Unknown Apps
- Open Settings again.
- Go to Apps, then Security & restrictions.
- Select Unknown sources.
- Find Downloader in the list and switch it on.
This permission only applies to Downloader. Other apps stay locked down, and you can switch it back off after KrushTV is installed if you like.
Step 4: Enter Code 6826306 and Install KrushTV
- Open Downloader. If it asks for access to files or media, select Allow.
- Click the box labeled for a URL or search term.
- Type 6826306 using the on-screen keyboard and select Go.
- The KrushTV installer will download. When the install screen appears, select Install.
- When it finishes, Downloader may offer to delete the installer file. Choose Delete to free up space (you will not need it again).
Step 5: Open KrushTV and Log In
- Select Open, or find KrushTV under Apps on the home screen.
- Enter the username and password you received from KrushTV.
- Wait a moment while channels, movies and series load for the first time.
That is it. You are watching. If anything looks off, our support team is on WhatsApp 24/7, or you can email support.krushtv@gmail.com.
Tips for the Best Experience on Google TV
Keep storage free
The Chromecast with Google TV has only about 8 GB of storage, and the system uses a good part of it. If an install fails with "App not installed," storage is the usual reason. Go to Settings > System > Storage, uninstall apps you never open, and clear cache for heavy apps. Always delete the installer file in Downloader after setup. The Google TV Streamer has much more room, so this is rarely an issue there.
Make the remote work for you
- Pin KrushTV to the home screen: go to Apps, highlight KrushTV, hold the center button and choose to add it to your favorites so it sits in the top row.
- Use the Back button to step out of a channel and back to the guide quickly.
- Voice search works for launching the app: hold the Assistant button and say "Open KrushTV."
Use the Sports Guide
The KrushTV app includes a Sports Guide that lists today's games with live scores and the channel each game is on. Instead of flipping through thousands of channels, open the guide, pick the game, and jump straight to it. Sports channels in the lineup include ESPN2, TNT, TBS, NFL Network, NBA TV, NHL Network, MLB Network, SEC Network, Big Ten Network and local ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX stations in many US cities.
Other handy features
- My List saves movies and shows to watch later.
- Continue watching picks up where you left off.
- Family PIN hides adult content, which is useful on a shared living room TV.
Get a steady connection
For live sports, connect to your router's 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, or use a USB-C Ethernet adapter on the Chromecast. The Google TV Streamer has a built-in Ethernet port, which is the most reliable option.
Prefer a Player App Instead?
The official KrushTV app is the easiest choice on Google TV because it includes the Sports Guide, My List and family PIN. Some users also like player apps such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters, which also work on Android-based devices. Our best IPTV apps for Android post compares the options.
What It Costs After the Trial
